EVENT DETAILS
Open to participants ages 8-Adult.
Students ages 6-7 will also be allowed to participate, as long as a parent supervises them.
This special event for Chrysalis is a wonderful opportunity for students and adults alike to learn, grow and shine together.
This fall session will feature our innovative, nurturing arts learning and development activities, which are specifically designed to help young people blossom and thrive. It will finish with performances that will help our participants to take further steps in their personal growth and artistic development as their performances are shared with family, friends, and general audiences via online video broadcasts.
This concert-style production will provide a variety of opportunities for students to shine, including chances for singing, dancing, and acting in solos, duets, small groups, and large groups.
For this concert, we are completely open to non-traditional casting, either individually or in groups. In fact, the licensing company has encouraged us to do so. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to participate in ways they might not normally be able to, which is a perfect fit for our organization's goals of inclusion and accessibility.

WHEN/WHERE
We will meet virtually via Zoom on Saturday mornings, from 10:00am-12:00pm, from September 11-November 6.
We plan to use our beloved methods of play-based learning and creating to make these rehearsals far more fun and engaging than your typical Zoom call.
We are also open to accepting participants who cannot attend our Saturday rehearsals, but who would like to contribute a pre-recorded video performance of a specific song or part of a song (must be from the song list below, and must be approved by the director).
Performances will be live-streamed on the internet on November 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th.
Due to licensing restrictions we will NOT be able to offer this production on-demand after the final live broadcast.
Audiences are welcome to watch the live-stream performances privately from the comfort of their homes, or they may set up their own watch parties with friends or family. We may also be able to offer an official group watch party, but we won't know for sure until closer to November.
We will have live-stream ticket options for individual households and for large group and small group watch parties.

MORE ABOUT THIS EVENT
This special event has been made possible by a historic collaboration between licensing company Music Theatre International and many of Broadway's most famous composers, along with several theatre businesses that are partnered with MTI to offer playbills, digital backdrops, and more.
Normally, licensing and scripts would cost thousands of dollars, with extra costs for add-ons like digital backdrops. But for this special event, all materials are being supplied free of charge. This creates an unprecedented opportunity for programs like ours to offer a truly unique theatre experience, AND to raise money doing it to help revitalize the arts after this long health crisis that has been so devastating for live arts programs and the people involved in these industries.
We are so grateful to everyone who has given so generously to make this special opportunity possible.
