As our first year of classes and performances draws to a close, let's celebrate how good God has been to us. He has blessed Chrysalis abundantly this year, and He continues to lead us in this unpredictable, but tremendously rewarding adventure. We would like to thank Him for that, and also all of the staff, students, and parents who have worked so tirelessly to make this wonderful experience possible. To be where we are now, to have grown so much in such a short period of time, is nothing short of a miracle.
It is time to come together in thanksgiving, to celebrate as a family. Accordingly, we have scheduled one special day of community. On this day, we will do what we have done all year: work hard, then celebrate! We will first put in some work to finally wrap up our set moving project, and then we will come together at the table in celebration of one incredible year. This is a celebration not of one person, or one group of people; it is a celebration of a community that has come together to give children incredible, life-changing experiences through the medium of the performing arts. Bring your family, bring your friends, and come rejoice with us.
Work Hard... We need to consolidate our storage. This involves moving all of the stuff from our old, inconvenient upstairs storage unit across the building and down to our nice new storage unit by the loading dock. If we can get plenty of help, this shouldn't be too hard. The storage place is air conditioned, so we'll be working in relative comfort. Just bring some work gloves and a friend or two.
When: Saturday, August 24th, 12:00-4:00pm Where: Super Space Storage, Sunnyvale. Meet at the loading dock at the end of Thompson Place (between Arques and Stewart, off Wolfe).

CELEBRATE!!! They say time flies when you're having fun. That's certainly been the case for our first year of classes and performances at Chrysalis. Come celebrate with us as we take a look back at everything that happened this year, and hear about our plans for the fall and beyond. We'll watch some video, see some pictures, hear from our director, play some games, enjoy great food and fellowship, and if anybody is interested we can even do some line or square dancing.
Please bring a main dish for 3-4 people, and either a small side dish or a finger food dessert. We'll provide the drinks and cake.
What: Chrysalis Youth Theatre's One Year Anniversary Family Potluck When: Saturday, August 24th, 5:00-8:00pm Where: The Student Center at Valley Church (the lone building over by the tennis and volleyball courts)
